2023 National Press Award on Education launched

The 2023 edition of the National Press Award on Education has been launched to honour journalists with excellent reportage on Vietnam’s education sector and those with major contributions to the cause of education.

The award is organised by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in collaboration with the Central Commission for Communication and Education, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Journalists Association.

In his remarks at a press briefing on the award on August 2, MOET Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son thanked the press for its support in bringing education policies to life.

He said that now in its sixth year, the award will help people have a more complete understanding about the education sector so that they can share with, support and accompany teachers all over the country.

The deputy minister added that through the press works, inspiring stories about the education sector and the devotion of teachers have been widely disseminated in society.

The 2023 award is open to all forms of journalism published from September 5, 2022 to September 5, 2023.

The winner of the special prize will receive 60 million VND (2,500 USD), while the respective cash prizes for the first, second and third place are 30 million VND, 15 million VND and 10 million VND.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 18 and will be broadcast live on the national television station VTV.
