This year’s event, the sixth of its kind, calls on photojournalists and photographers to capture impressive moments in all aspects of life from politics, economy, and culture to sci-tech, and sports.

The entries, which must be taken between January 1, 2022, and August 15, 2023, should be submitted to www.khoanhkhacvang.vn before August 15.

The award winners will be honoured at a ceremony scheduled in September. The organising board will present a special prize worth 30 million VND, two first prizes of 20 million VND each; four second prizes of 15 million VND each; and six third prizes of 10 million VND each to the best entries.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang stressed that the VNA, a press agency with a time-honoured tradition in photography, should host the awards to honour outstanding photographers and their outstanding creative works.

She expressed her hope that this year’s event will receive enthusiastic responses from journalists and photographers, making practical contributions to the development of photojournalism and the Vietnamese revolutionary press in general.
