The event, hosted by the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Russia, gathered eight teams with nearly 200 players, who are living and working in Moscow and share a common passion for football.

According to Tran Phu Thuan, Vice President of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Russia, participating players are those who laid the foundation for the development of football, among the OV community in Russia.

Each of them is an ambassador inspiring the love and enthusiasm of sports for others, he hailed.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister Counsellor Le Quang Anh at the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia said, that the football tournament aims to create a venue to develop sporting activities and strengthen solidarity among the Overseas Vietnamese community in Moscow.
