The contest is held biennially by the Vietnam Mechanics Association, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, and the Vietnam Students’ Association.

The event is organised simultaneously across three regions from the north, central, and south. The winners of the regional contests will advance to the national contest.

This year, the contestants are competing in 12 subjects in both theory and application of mechanics.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof, Dr. Nguyen Huu Loc, Standing member of the Vietnam Mechanics Association, said that the contest also provided an opportunity for mechanics lecturers to exchange experiences and enrich teaching materials and teaching methods for their students.

Within the framework of the contest, the organisers will host seminars and workshops on improving the teaching, studying and researching of mechanics at universities.
