At the working session, the Head of the Nhan Dan Newspaper Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, Le Nam Tu, spoke about the office’s operations.
The office was assigned to manage resident reporters in six localities in the southeast region, two south-central provinces of Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan, and three Mekong River Delta provinces of Long An, Tien Giang and Ben Tre.
Over the past years, the office has received the prompt leadership of the Party Committee and Editorial Board of Nhan Dan Newspaper, the coordination of specialised departments of the newspaper, and the support from Party committees, governments, ministries, agencies, enterprises and localities.
Addressing the working session, the Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communications and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia, appreciated the achievements, that Nhan Dan Newspaper in general and the newspaper’s Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City in particular, have gained over the past years.
Nhan Dan Newspaper has affirmed its position as one of the leading newspapers, with many innovations in communications, thereby bringing the newspaper closer to people, added Nghia.
He asked the newspaper, particularly the Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, to continue affirming the position and role of a Party newspaper.
Nhan Dan Newspaper should continue to take the lead in implementing policies and viewpoints on the development of revolutionary press, as well as promote innovation in management, infrastructure and human resources, said Nghia.
Party official Nguyen Trong Nghia stressed, that the Nhan Dan Newspaper Standing Office in Ho Chi Minh City should enhance the exchange of information, with both central and local press agencies throughout the city.
Also on the same day, the Secretary of the PCC and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communications and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia, visited the standing office of the Vietnam News Agency in the southern region, the Resident Agency of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and Vietnam Television, in Ho Chi Minh City.
