Nhan Dan wins top prize for financial reporting

Nhan Dan Newspaper has won one of the four top prizes at the 2023 journalism awards on the financial sector, which were presented at a ceremony on August 28.

The first prize went to a series of articles on personal income tax as a measure of economic development quality by Ngoc Thanh, Viet Anh, Song Tra, Khanh Giang, and Minh Duc.

The newspaper also won a second prize for its report on coordinating fiscal and monetary policies to boost economic recovery, and a third prize for a series on tapping into public investment capital.

Nhan Dan is also one of ten press agencies to have received a certificate of merit from the Minister of Finance for having high-quality reports and a large number of submissions.

The journalism award on the financial sector has been held since 2006 to honour outstanding journalism works covering the Party and State’s financial policies and the financial sector’s activities.

According to the organisers, the 2023 edition received over 2,000 works, from which the jury panel selected the 41 best works to present with the four first prizes, 16 second prizes and 21 third prizes.
