He made the remarks at the workshop held by Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Ministry of Information and Communications on October 29.
The event aimed to review the implementation of the project on disseminating information on ethnic and religious issues of the Ethnicity and Religion Supplement of Nhan Dan Weekend in 2021 as well as outlining solutions towards effective communications about ethnicity and religion in the coming years.
The workshop saw the presence of Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association Le Quoc Minh along with Head of the Ministry of Information and Communications' Press Department Nguyen Thanh Lam.

Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Communications has implemented the communication project through the publication of the Ethnicity and Religion Supplement of Nhan Dan Weekend since 2019.
In 2021, the Ethnicity and Religion Supplement published 26 issues with 45,000 copies each including 221 reports, 196 articles, and 232 photos on ethnicity and religion.
Speaking at the workshop, Nguyen Thanh Lam lauded Nhan Dan Newspaper’s communication about ethnicity and religion in 2021, noting that press agencies should study to increase the accessibility of ethnic groups to official information through new communication methods.

Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh acknowledged and appreciated the recommendations made during the workshop, particularly the role of the Ministry of Information and Communications in improving the quality of communication on ethnicity and religion.
He also emphasised the importance of the combination between experts and reporters to conduct effective communication about ethnicity and religion issues.
