In Ho Chi Minh City, a delegation representing the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee, led by Dang Minh Thong, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, visited Nhan Dan's southern representative office on June 19. He praised the newspaper's role in communicating Party guidelines, State policies and the city's development agenda to the public, noting its longstanding support for the city's major initiatives.
Thong highlighted several key milestones for Ho Chi Minh City, including the 50th anniversary of Saigon-Gia Dinh officially being renamed after President Ho Chi Minh, as well as ongoing efforts to develop a special urban law and a 100-year master plan. He expressed hope that Nhan Dan would continue promoting major national and municipal policies, contributing to the city's goal of achieving double-digit economic growth.
The same day, Pham Tat Thang, Standing Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, visited Nhan Dan's Central Highlands and Central Viet Nam representative office in Da Nang.
He commended the office's journalists for maintaining high-quality reporting despite challenging geographical conditions and a wide reporting area.
Thang described Nhan Dan as one of Viet Nam's leading media organisations and urged its journalists to continue serving as a vital bridge between the Party, the State and the people by accurately reflecting public concerns and local developments. He also praised the newspaper's ongoing digital transformation and expansion of multi-platform journalism.
Meanwhile, a delegation from the Dong Nai National Assembly Deputies' Delegation visited Nhan Dan's Dong Nai representative office, recognising its contributions to reporting on local affairs and parliamentary activities.
Officials expressed hope for continued cooperation in promoting legislative oversight, voter engagement and other activities aimed at strengthening links between the National Assembly and the electorate.
