Outstanding Vietnamese students of 2022 honoured

The Vietnamese Students’ Association Central Committee held a ceremony in Hanoi on January 7 to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the association’s traditional day (January 9, 1950 - 2023) and honour outstanding students of 2022.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and President of the Vietnamese Students’ Association Nguyen Minh Triet reviewed the 73-year journey of formation and development together with the brilliant milestones of the student movement nationwide.

Today's generation of Vietnamese students is determined to constantly strive and practice to continue writing the heroic historical pages of the previous generations in the national construction and defence, he noted.

On the occasion of the approaching Lunar New Year, the Vietnamese Students' Association has concentrated resources to implement a series of activities to take care of members and students, such as organising bus trips to carry students home to welcome Tet, presenting gifts to students living in difficult circumstances, and coordinating with associations at all levels and abroad to organise Tet programmes for international students and Vietnamese students.

Hundreds of outstanding students and collective were commended and honoured at the ceremony.
