Outstanding works of literary and artistic theory and criticism in 2023 honoured

The Central Council for Literature and Arts Theory and Criticism held an award presentation ceremony in Hanoi on the evening of September 19 to honour outstanding works of literary and artistic theory and criticism published in 2023.

Politburo member Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of its Commission for Information and Education, attended the ceremony and awarded four B prizes (this year’s highest awards).

This year, 118 works (including 34 books and 84 articles) were submitted to the Council by agencies and units.

4 B prizes, 12 C prizes, and 9 consolidation prizes were honoured at the ceremony.

The event aimed to honour outstanding works of literary and artistic theory and criticism published in 2023 as well as evaluate and encourage theoretical researchers and critics with high-quality works and press and publishing agencies with outstanding achievements in communications work in the field of culture and arts in the past year.
