Speaking at a press conference held on May 6 in Ha Noi, Dinh Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee and Head of the Organising Committee of the programme, stated that Lam Dong is home to a rich and diverse cultural features of the languages, customs, and religious beliefs of 47 ethnic groups in the province, creating the foundation for a range of attractive tourism types, including cultural, historical, festival, ecological and scenic tourism.
Notably, Lam Dong also has the "Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space", which was recognised by UNESCO as a "Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage of the World" (2005) and "Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" (2008).
Nguyen Trung Kien, Director of Lam Dong’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, affirmed that this is an important cultural event to introduce and promote the unique beauty of the culture, people, and tourism of Da Lat–Lam Dong. It offers a valuable opportunity for Ha Noi residents and domestic and international visitors to explore the Central Highlands’ potential, strengths, and distinctive products.
In the framework of “Lam Dong Culture Days in Ha Noi 2025”, a variety of activities will take place such as the “Culture–Tourism–Trade Connection Forum of Lam Dong Province 2025”, scheduled for May 17 at the International Convention Centre at No. 11 Le Hong Phong Street, Ba Dinh District, Ha Noi; a series of activities will be held at the Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian area from May 16 to 18, featuring displays on tourism culture, architectural and planning heritage, OCOP products, agriculture, the Lam Dong–Da Lat Master Plan, and local culture, specialties as well as tea space and tea products of the localities.
The opening ceremony and art performance programme, themed “A Glimpse of Lam Dong in Ha Noi”, will take place from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm on May 17. The programme will feature unique musical works of Lam Dong–Da Lat. It will also highlight cultural connections and shared values between Lam Dong and Ha Noi from the past, present and future. Notably, all these musical works will be performed by artists born and raised in Lam Dong or Ha Noi.
Following “Lam Dong Culture Days in Ha Noi 2025”, the province will continue to promote its culture and tourism in provinces and cities nationwide.
