Politburo member Nguyen Trong Nghia paid a visit to the home of late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to offer incense in remembrance. Throughout his 80 years of life and 57 years as a Party member, in all positions serving the Party, the nation, and the people, the late Party chief consistently devoted special attention to the development of revolutionary journalism, emphasising the importance of maintaining the press’s pioneering role and its significant contributions to national development.
Visiting the home of journalist Huu Tho, former Member of the PCC, Head of the former PCC's Commission for Ideology and Culture, and Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Politburo member Nguyen Trong Nghia and the delegation paid tribute to the dedicated journalist, an outstanding political commentator who made immense contributions to the Party’s ideological and cultural front.
On the same day, Party official Nghia and officials from the Commission visited and extended congratulations to journalists Dinh The Huynh, former Politburo member, Permanent Member of the Secretariat, Head of the PCC's Commission for Communications and Education, and Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper; as well as journalist Ha Dang, former PCC member, Head of the former PCC's Commission for Ideology and Culture, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, and Editor-in-Chief of Tap chi Cong san (Communist Review).
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Politburo member Nghia congratulated the veteran journalists on the Viet Nam Revolutionary Press Day and acknowledged their immense contributions to the Party’s ideological efforts and to the development of revolutionary press in Viet Nam. Before assuming their leadership roles in the Party’s ideological and propaganda apparatus, these comrades were influential managers of the Party’s press agencies and also sharp and steadfast writers who significantly contributed to the press’s development.

Sharing updates on the country’s recent achievements, Politburo member Nguyen Trong Nghia underscored the vital role of those working in communications and mass mobilisation, as well as the journalistic community, in disseminating the Party and State’s guidelines and policies to all segments of society.
He wished the veteran journalists good health and expressed his hope that they would continue to contribute by inspiring younger generations of journalists. He called on them to further uphold the traditions of Viet Nam Revolutionary Press and continue fulfilling the vital mission of communications in service of the revolutionary cause of the Party and the people.
