Speaking at the ceremony, Politburo member Nghia emphasised: In recent years, the Party Committee and administration of Nghe An Province have paid special attention to leading and directing the effective implementation of the work of building a national movement for national security protection with many positive changes.

He noted that the movement has many unique features that create a “brand” nationwide, attracting a large number of people to participate with many rich contents and forms associated with movements of solidarity to build cultural life, patriotic emulation, building new rural areas, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty, building many effective models of activities in the direction of self-defence, self-management, self-protection at the grassroots level...

The task of ensuring security and order in the coming time is forecasted to have many difficulties and challenges, especially when implementing the 2-tier local government model, the new organisational apparatus has just begun to operate. For Nghe An Province, which is identified as a strategic location in the centre of the North Central region, there are many potentials and advantages for socio-economic development, expanding trade; at the same time, the security and order situation in the area also has many potential complex factors.
