Quang Ninh clears shipment of electronic components worth nearly 2.4 million USD

A shipment of electronic components, worth nearly 2.4 million USD, was cleared through the Cau Bac Luan 2 Border Gate, in Mong Cai on February 5 (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year 2022).

The shipment included 5 containers with 26 tonnes of electronic components, worth nearly 2.4 million USD, was cleared for the first time at Cau Bac Luan 2 Border Gate.

The shipment included five containers with 26 tonnes of electronic components of LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd., worth nearly 2.4 million USD, and was cleared for the first time at Cau Bac Luan 2 Border Gate, promising an exciting import-export year after the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In order to solve the congestion of goods at border gates, the two cities of Mong Cai (Vietnam) and Dongxing (China), held talks to adjust the holiday schedule for the 2022 Lunar New Year, customs clearance activities at border gates and openings throughout the cities. Accordingly, import and export activities at border gates and openings in Mong Cai city, have extended their operating time until the end of January 31.

Previously, on February 3, the opening of the temporary pontoon bridge Km3+4 Hai Yen, Mong Cai, was also officially cleared after the Tet holiday. At this opening, from February 3 to 10:00 on February 5, 207 trucks with 508 tonnes of goods were exported to China, including 383 tonnes of lobsters, 104.4 tonnes of crabs, 14 tonnes of snails, 73.6 tonnes of clams, 25 tonnes of dried tea and 3 tonnes of fresh fish.
