The launch ceremony was held by Centre for Vietnam and ASEAN Studies under the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Far Eastern Studies, the Vietnam-Russia Traditions and Friendship Foundation, and the Institute of Asian and African Countries at Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The publication is the joint work of Russian scientists, graduate students and students under the editorship of Professor and Doctor of Science Vladimir Mazyrin, director of the Centre for Vietnam and ASEAN Studies. The Vietnam-Russia Traditions and Friendship Foundation is the sponsor of this publication.

The reference book consists of five parts, providing basic and latest information on Vietnam’s economic achievements, the direction and form of Vietnam’s external economic activities, as well as Vietnam’s integration process into the world economy.

Maxim Golikov, Chief Representative of the Russian Trade Office in Vietnam, said that Vietnam is a leading developing country in Southeast Asia and is one of Russia’s priorities, but Russian enterprises lack information on Vietnam.

Therefore, the book’s overview and in-depth analysis of the Vietnamese market is very useful for Russian businesses, he noted.

Commercial Counsellor of Vietnam in Russia Duong Hoang Minh said that this is the first book on Vietnam’s economy published in Russia, which combines in-depth knowledge about Vietnam in all aspects from a business perspective.

He believed¬ that this scientific publication will contribute to promoting trade-investment relations between the two countries.
