Le Dinh Luc, a math prodigy from Gia Lai, Vietnam, struggled significantly with English during his high school years. Despite his aptitude for mathematics, Luc found English challenging, which led him to develop a method that bridged the gap between his strong analytical skills and language learning. By applying mathematical logic to language he created "Linearthinking," a method that breaks down complex grammar and vocabulary into manageable segments.

As a high schooler, the now-31-year-old realised that the English courses he had been taking in high school in his hometown were very basic and that his foreign language skills did not match up with his peers.
Scoring a mere three out of 10 on his initial English semester final exam was a stark wake-up call for him.
"Then I began studying English as hard as I could so that I could keep up with my peers”, Luc told us.
Eventually, he found the ‘intersection’ between math and English and realised he could apply the same logic he used in math to his English learning. Luc coined the term 'Linearthinking', to describe the intersection he discovered between math and English.
This method, now the cornerstone of his business, received certification from the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam in 2022. Since then, Luc's start-up has been approached by investment funds that have valued DOL English at 25 million USD.
