This event was a highlight of the 5th Viet Nam Card Day campaign, jointly organised by Tien Phong Newspaper and the National Payment Corporation of Viet Nam (NAPAS) under the direction of the State Bank of Viet Nam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc said this was not only a vibrant festival for young people but also a forum for leaders, managers, and people to see the important achievements of the banking and finance sectors in the national digital transformation process.

Since its launch in 2020, this is the fifth time Tien Phong Newspaper has organised the event. So far, Viet Nam Card Day has become a creative and inspiring public communication campaign of Tien Phong Newspaper and NAPAS.

“With hundreds of thousands of cashless technology experiences at Song Festival and tens of millions of social media engagements, these figures clearly show the practical benefits of cashless payments. This is the consumer trend of our time, society’s trust in card and digital payments. This year’s festival is particularly meaningful as it coincides with the five-year (2021–2025) review of cashless payment development,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasised.

According to him, the success of Viet Nam Card Day has contributed to implementing the Government’s National Comprehensive Financial Strategy to 2025 with a vision to 2030, which targets at least 80% of adults having non-cash payment accounts and annual transaction growth of 20–25%. The theme “One touch – a million trusts” not only highlights technology but also conveys a message of trust, safety, efficiency, and savings to the public with strong legal regulations and solid security foundations that protect people and businesses.

He described it as a practical activity to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on science and technology development and Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on private-sector economic development.

Pham Tien Dung, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam, said that the Vietnamese banking sector has achieved outstanding results in digital transformation and innovation. With close direction of the Party, the government and the State Bank, and the continuous efforts of credit institutions and technology enterprises, Viet Nam has built a modern, safe, and efficient payment infrastructure.

He noted that advanced technologies such as QR codes, mobile payments, and biometrics have been widely applied to improve service quality, optimise processes, and create new value for customers. In recent years, the rate of non-cash payments has grown strongly, contributing to transparency of transactions, reducing social costs, and promoting digital economic growth.

During the two-day event on October 18–19, the Song Festival stage will continuously operate with five technology and art performance sessions, bringing a series of lively interactive experiences from banks and performance groups from universities.

One of the most anticipated highlights is the concert “Touch Viet Nam”, which is the first of its kind within the “Viet Nam Card Day” framework. The show combined between digital technology and performance art. All tickets are presented to students.

In addition, charitable activities also continue to be an essential part of the “Song Festival”. Apart from contributions from the organisers, Viet Nam Card Day 2025 calls on the community to donate via the charity account 1611 at the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB). Donors’ names are publicly listed on the charity app.

Over the past four seasons, Viet Nam Card Day has supported disaster and fire relief efforts, donated four computer classrooms with nearly 100 computers, dozens of scholarships, and hundreds of gifts to schools in remote areas, worth a total of over 1 billion VND.

Continuing this meaningful community effort, the organisers hope to mobilise more resources from organisations and individuals to continue donating computer classrooms for disadvantaged children.
