The Ha Noi police on August 20 announced traffic adjustments to help residents proactively avoid congestion during the first full rehearsal for the military parade and procession celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – 2025) and National Day (September 2).

A welcome ceremony was held at Cau Treo International Border Gate in the central province of Ha Tinh on August 16 for a delegation from the Lao People’s Army who came for training and participating in a military parade for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day of Viet Nam (September 2).

A special art programme titled “Ha Noi – From the historic autumn of 1945” was held at the August Revolution Square on August 15 in the presence of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. 

Eighty years ago, on August 19, 1945, the entire Vietnamese nation rose up to successfully carry out the General Uprising - seizing power and ending the era of French colonial rule and feudal monarchy.

On the evening of August 9, the art and political programme entitled "Under the Glorious Flag" took place at 3 special locations, including: Ba Dinh Square (Ha Noi), the flagpole in front of Ngo Mon Gate (Hue) and Thu Thiem Creative Park (Ho Chi Minh City).

An exhibition entitled ‘Autumn of Independence and Aspiration for Prosperity’ will take place at the National Library of Viet Nam from August 12 to September 18, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).

The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence has invited its counterparts from Russia, China, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan, to attend the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945) and National Day (September 2).

The first rehearsal for the military parade and procession in preparation for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025) was held on June 25 at three locations in Ha Noi.
