A grand parade took place at the ceremony celebrating the 80th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day at the historic Ba Dinh Square in Ha Noi on September 2 morning, stirring deep emotions in the hearts of all Vietnamese people.

The first joint rehearsal for the grand military parade marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), coded mission A80, took place at 8:00pm on August 21 at Ba Dinh Square in Ha Noi.

The August General Uprising of 1945 was a revolution of the people’s unanimous will, organised and led by the Party, guided by Ho Chi Minh’s ideology. At the threshold of a new era, the lesson of building and promoting the strength of great national unity was recognised and upheld.

The August Revolution of 1945 was a defining milestone in the nation’s history, opening a new era – that of national independence associated with socialism.

Numerous commemorative activities highlighting the national remarkable achievements will be held nationwide in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).
