Vietnamese leaders have extended their greetings to leaders of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on the 78th anniversary of its National Day (September 9).

Politburo member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung, Special Envoy of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee and President of Viet Nam To Lam, met with Jo Yong Won, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) and Chairman of the SPA of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), in Pyongyang on May 15.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Ha Noi for Pyongyang on October 9 for a three-day state visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
