A delegation of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV), led by Vu Hai Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for National Defence, Security and External Relations, attended the 24th International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties (IMCWP) and the first international seminar themed “Fidel: Legacy and Future” in Havana, Cuba from August 7-12.

The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, in coordination with the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House, convened a seminar themed “Fidel Castro Ruz: From Childhood to Legend” in Ha Noi on August 12. The event commemorated the 100th birth anniversary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz (August 13, 1926–August 13, 2026), an outstanding leader of the Cuban Revolution and a great friend and steadfast comrade of the Party, State, and people of Viet Nam.

The 6th episode of the documentary series “Two Hearts Beating as One”, entitled “Fidel Castro-Ho Chi Minh: A Revolutionary Vision”, officially premiered. The screening was a meaningful event marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro (August 13, 1926-13, 2026).

The Central Commission for Communications and Education, in collaboration with the Truth National Political Publishing House, held a ceremony on August 5 to launch a 24-volume Spanish-language collection of selected works by Cuban leader Fidel Castro to mark his 100th birth anniversary.

Through the series of activities “President Ho Chi Minh and Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro: A special and steadfast bond”, the great lives, careers, and noble personalities of President Ho Chi Minh and Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro will continue to resonate profoundly among the public, especially the younger generation, inspiring pride and a sense of responsibility for the future.

President Fidel Castro will forever be a great friend and close comrade of Viet Nam, Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, said at a scientific seminar in Ha Noi on August 3.
