In recent years, Kep Village in Ia Ly Commune, Gia Lai Province has emerged as a shining example of how community-based tourism can be successfully integrated with the preservation of traditional culture. The brocade weaving craft of the local Jrai ethnic community has not only been revitalised but has also become a distinctive tourism offering, drawing visitors to the village.

The first congress of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure was a significant political event, marking a major turning point for the province following its merger.
