Amid the shift towards green and responsible agriculture, the establishment of a unified management system for biological plant protection products is becoming increasingly important in the ASEAN region. This would not only ensure greater consistency in product registration and circulation but also promote agricultural trade among member states.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in collaboration with Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) and the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, held a conference on promoting investment in high-quality, low-emission, green rice production in Viet Nam’s Mekong Delta in Tokyo on October 21.

To improve plant health, enhance resistance against harmful organisms, boost production efficiency, and contribute to ecological and biodiversity protection, the agriculture sector has recently promoted the implementation of the Integrated Plant Health Management (IPHM) programme across localities.
