On August 11, the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, in coordination with the Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee, organised a scientific workshop entitled “Assessment of the current situation and proposed solutions for employment creation, service development and sustainable labour connections in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the 2026-2035 period”.

Nguyen Tien Hai, Secretary of the An Giang provincial Party Committee, was assigned as Acting Minister of Home Affairs; while Nguyen Hoai Anh, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa People’s Committee, was appointed Permanent Deputy Minister of Ethnic and Religious Affairs.

Emphasising the exacting requirements of national development in the coming period, particularly the pursuit of double-digit growth, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung stated that the ministries and agency concerned will need to focus on effectively implementing their assigned core tasks.

Secretary of the Government Party Committee and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a conference on March 3 to announce and present the Politburo's and the Government leader's decisions on several key personnel appointments to the Government Party Committee, the Government Office, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

The Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, in coordination with the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the Ministry of Education and Training, held the 12th ceremony to honour outstanding ethnic minority pupils, students and youth in 2025 on the evening of December 27 in Ha Noi.
