At its 18th Provincial Party Congress, Khanh Hoa set the goal of becoming a national centre for the marine economy, tourism and services by 2025; achieving comprehensive development across all sectors and attaining the status of a centrally governed city by 2030; and by 2045, becoming a modern, developed locality with one of the highest per capita incomes in the country.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long, who is accompanying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in his working trip to France, held a meeting with representatives from the French Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ASNR) and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) at the ASNR headquarters in Paris on June 10.
