The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam has drawn strong attention from the international community, providing an important opportunity to showcase Viet Nam’s development achievements and spread its image as a peaceful, dynamic and hospitable country to the world, according to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang.

The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam is expected to mark a turning point and serve as a launch pad for Viet Nam’s path towards becoming a middle-ranking power, according to Dr. Ruvislei González Saez, a senior researcher at the Cuban Centre for International Policy Research (CIPI).

On behalf of the Presidium of the 14th National Party Congress, Politburo member and State President Luong Cuong on January 20 morning delivered the opening remarks of the Congress, affirming that the Congress is a major political event of the country and a historic turning point. The first congress of the Party Organisation of the National Assembly for the 2025–2030 term opened in Ha Noi on September 25. Party General Secretary To Lam attended and delivered his directive speech. The 2-day Congress sees the participation of 300 delegates representing more than 2,800 Party members of the organisation.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ngo Le Van on September 1 received Pedro Oliveira, member of the international relations commission of the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB) and Secretary-General of the Brazil–Viet Nam Friendship Association, who is in Ha Noi to attend celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of Viet Nam's August Revolution and National Day.

For the first time in Viet Nam, a specialised exhibition on the Party has been fully digitised, integrating both physical and virtual spaces. The exhibition is not only a place to display precious artefacts, images and documents, but also a vivid testament to the spirit of innovation and creativity, bringing history closer to the people.
