Safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation is a task of special importance, contributing to maintaining political stability and strengthening public confidence in the Party, State, and socialist regime. Political Bureau's Resolution No. 25-NQ/TW (dated August 22, 2026) stipulates that ideological work must be carried out comprehensively across both physical and digital spaces, proactively protecting the Party's ideological foundation and upholding ideological security in all situations.

Emphasising the need for close, synchronised, and effective coordination in protecting the Party’s ideological foundation, Tran Cam Tu, Politburo Member, and Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, and Head of the Central Steering Committee 35 — stressed that relevant agencies must keep a firm grasp of the situation, detect issues, and report them to ensure the prompt handling of any emerging problems.

The People’s Army Newspaper, in coordination with the Viet Nam Journalists Association and Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, held a ceremony in Ha Noi on May 19 to review and present awards for the fifth “Protecting the Party’s ideological foundation in the new situation” writing competition (2025–2026), while also launching the sixth edition of the contest (2026–2027).

A book on protecting the Party’s ideological foundation in the new period, compiled by the Central Theoretical Council, comprising 27 articles by scholars and experts, has been released.
