On the morning of September 14, in Ha Noi, Central Steering Committee 35 held a meeting of its Standing Body for the third quarter of 2026. Tran Cam Tu, Politburo Member, Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, and Head of the Central Steering Committee 35, presided over the meeting.
The meeting aimed to evaluate the results of leadership, direction, and implementation regarding the task of safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation and countering erroneous and hostile views during the third quarter, while also determining key measures and solutions for the fourth quarter.
At the meeting, Tran Cam Tu, Politburo Member, Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, and Head of the Central Steering Committee 35, assessed that the work of safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation and countering erroneous and hostile views — both in the third quarter and over the first nine months of the year — had received focused leadership and direction from Party committees and organisations, resulting in systematic and effective implementation.
During the third quarter, the Central Steering Committee 35 and its counterparts at various levels actively carried out numerous tasks and directed the handling of complicated, sensitive cases and “hot” issues of public concern; these efforts contributed to firmly protecting the Party’s ideological foundation, fostering social consensus, and strengthening public confidence in the Party, the State, and the political system.
During the fourth quarter, the entire Party and political system continued to vigorously pursue the objectives set forth by the 14th National Party Congress, particularly those regarding economic and socio-cultural development and the assurance of social welfare. Concurrently, global and regional developments, along with practical realities, have directly impacted and created numerous challenges for the task of safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation.
He urged Party committees and organisations — especially “Steering Committee 35” units at all levels — to maintain a proactive stance and keep a firm grasp of the situation both on the ground and in cyberspace. He called for determined and decisive leadership and implementation regarding the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation and the struggle against erroneous and hostile views, thereby contributing to the successful realisation of the goals set by the Party and the State.
