The 2025 Autumn Fair in Ha Noi has attracted large crowds over one week, with the cinema zone emerging as a major cultural highlight.
On September 30, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 3479/QD-BVHTTDL to approve the submission of the feature film Mua do (Red Rain), directed by Dang Thai Huyen and produced by the People’s Army Cinema, to the preliminary round of the Best International Feature Film category at the 98th Oscars, organised by the US Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).
The impact of the film “Red Rain”, produced by the People’s Army Cinema, goes beyond its box-office performance. More importantly, it has prompted profound reflections about the role, vitality, and development path of revolutionary war films in contemporary life.
“Red Rain,” the most successful film of this occasion, officially surpassed the 400-billion-VND revenue mark on the morning of National Day (September 2), becoming the first historical and revolutionary war film to achieve this revenue level.
‘Mua Do’ (Red Rain), a motion picture produced by the Viet Nam People's Army Cinema, will be released nationwide on August 22 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
