US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on September 1 affirmed that the US values its flourishing partnership with Viet Nam, particularly the progress achieved under the two countries’ Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and shared commitment to peace and stability across the Indo-Pacific region, in a statement marking Viet Nam’s National Day (September 2).

Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung held talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington D.C. on February 19, during which the two sides discussed measures to further promote Viet Nam - US relations in the future.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the normalisation of diplomatic relations between the US and Viet Nam (1995-2025), US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on July 11 wrote a post on X social network to acknowledge this important milestone.
