Soddy Huang, Vice President of the Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises in mainland China, made the remark on June 24, when his Kingtec Group signed a contract renting 16 hectares of land in Binh Duong for a factory.
When operational, the plant, the first phase of which will cost US$30 million, in My Phuoc No.3 Industrial Park will manufacture lighting devices of all kinds for export.
At the signing ceremony, Chairman of the Binh Duong People’s Committee Le Thanh Cung pledged the best possible conditions for Kingtec to expand its operation.
In the first half of 2014, Binh Duong attracted US$990 million of foreign investment from 74 new and 60 existing projects, fulfilling 99 percent of its yearly plan.
Currently, there are 2,305 foreign businesses in the province with total registered capital of nearly US$20 billion.
