The title was previously announced at the 29th World Travel Awards held in Oman in November this year.
The award is a recognition of the initial success of the district’s tourism sector, contributing to raising the image of the Tam Dao National Tourist Area, and promoting the development of the tourism industry in Vinh Phuc province.
Following the ceremony, visitors and locals joined a street food festival, during which they had a chance to enjoy hundreds of unique local dishes.
Located 90 kilometres northeast of Hanoi, Tam Dao is a popular retreat built by the French in the early 19th century. Thanks to its cool climate all year round and majestic mountainous scenery, Tam Dao is designed as a key tourist area of Vinh Phuc province, providing visitors with various tourism such as ecological, adventurous, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) tourism.
