This year’s festival will feature many special activities, associated with the inauguration of the “President Ho Chi Minh’s Visit to His Homeland” statue and the promotion of the “Back to Uncle Ho’s Homeland” tourism tour.
A leader of the Nghe An Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism stated that the festival is an important political and cultural event, expressing the gratitude and respect of the people for President Ho Chi Minh - a national liberation hero and a great cultural figure.
The event also aims to promote and educate about Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, as well as to continue the implementation of the “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle” campaign. It introduces and promotes the culture of Sen Village and the homeland of Nghe An to friends and visitors at home and abroad.
The festival is organised at the provincial level annually and on a national scale every five years to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday.
This year’s will include 13 cultural, sports, and tourism events, with many highlights, especially the opening ceremony of the Sen Village Festival and the inauguration of the “President Ho Chi Minh’s Visit to His Homeland” statue. There will be a 15-minute fireworks display at the Sen Village Stadium.

The “President Ho Chi Minh’s Visit to His Homeland” statue is a project that reflects the special affection and respect of the People's Public Security Forces for President Ho Chi Minh. It is a gift from the Ministry of Public Security to the government and people of Nghe An, placed at the Sen Village Stadium where President Ho visited twice and spoke to the local people.
The 2025 Sen Village Festival will also feature other cultural, sports, and tourism activities, including the running event titled “Journey Following Uncle Ho’s Footsteps – For National Security”.
Major General Le Xuan Duc, from the Specialised Research Department under the Ministry of Public Security said that the running event is organised under the direction of the Ministry of Public Security and the Nghe An People’s Committee.
It is hosted by the Vietnam Public Security Sports Association, in coordination with VnExpress Newspaper (under the Ministry of Science and Technology), and the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The race will take place on May 3 and 4.
