The event is organised by the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC), in coordination with embassies and international organisations such as the British Council, the French Institute, and the Goethe-Institut, together with the diplomatic missions of Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, and Ireland, among others.
The event aims to convey the message that despite differences in sounds or scripts, language is the key to unlocking mutual understanding among peoples.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, a panel discussion titled “Why should children learn foreign languages early?” will be held. The forum will offer parents and learners in-depth perspectives on the benefits of exposure to new languages from an early age.
The highlight of the event will be a series of lively interactive activities in open spaces, where visitors can freely explore and collect commemorative stamps in their “language passport”. Other activities will include short language conversations known as Speak Dating, a multilingual word-matching challenge, the “Around Europe” karaoke programme, and opportunities to try learning a new language.
The event promises to be an inspiring cultural destination for pupils, students, teachers, and families who love languages in Ha Noi.
