During the five-day holiday, there will be around 3,600 flights to and from the airport, carrying a total of about 625,000 passengers.

The airline is scheduled to serve a large number of 740 flights per day on the two peak days of August 31 and September 4, with around 130,000 passengers per day.

To meet the increasing travel demand on the occasion, the airport has reopened more gates to serve both domestic and international flights.

The airport has also promoted the application of information technology to better serve passengers, such as with the airport collaborative decision making (ACDM) model and a biometric authentication system for passengers who use electronic identity cards VneID, helping to relieve congestion and reduce flight delays and cancellations.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport handled 56,195 flights and served more than 9.5 million passengers during the peak summer tourism season from June 1 to August 15. Specifically, international visitors to and from the airport rose 103.17% during the summer.
