The festival is jointly held by the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialisation Development (NATEC), the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Startup Vietnam Foundation (SVF), and the National Startup Support Centre (NSSC).

In his opening speech at the launch ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung hailed Techfest for its contributions to developing Vietnam's innovation and startup ecosystem over its eight editions.

He noted with pleasure that more technology villages have been established and worked side by side with ministries, sectors and localities in addressing major problems on socio-economic situation and environment.

This year’s Techfest will gather more than 30 technology villages to solve problems of high potential fields such as smart agriculture, clean medicinal herbs, metaverse, and digital transformation.

Various activities will also be held within the framework of the festival, including the national innovative startup talent competition; multilateral dialogues between local authorities, innovative enterprises, and domestic and foreign experts on analysis and assessment of root problems in local socio-economic development; and in-depth training programmes on innovative entrepreneurship.
