The event’s theme emphasised the importance of ensuring consumer safety against increasingly sophisticated risks and tricks in the market.

In Thanh Hoa Province, the industry and trade sector has connected with the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Consumer Consulting and Support Hotline 1800-6838 as well as publicised the hotline to protect consumer rights.

People of all walks of life in the province have been gradually supported in protecting their legitimate rights and interests, through strict control of standard contracts, general transaction conditions and supervision of business and cooperative activities.

To raise awareness and effectively respond to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day, many activities have been implemented in Thanh Hoa such as marching on the main streets, organising conferences and seminars, hanging banners, issuing consultant handbooks and leaflets, and holding radio and television programmes.

Since 2015, March 15 has been chosen by the prime minister as Vietnam Consumer Rights Day.
