The event was held jointly by the Editorial Board of the Communist Review, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Party Committee, the People’s Council and People’s Committee of Ha Noi.
The programme, the 10th of its kind was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2) and the 80th anniversary of the People’s Public Security Forces’ tradition day.
The art programme chose to approach the motto “Independence-Freedom-Happiness” of the country, while also sending hope for the future of a prosperous and powerful Viet Nam.
The programme was divided into three chapters, 15 performances with many art genres: Singing, dancing, commentary, combining sound, light, images with hologram technology, laser, 3D led,... both historical, traditional, folk and creatively combining contemporary art forms.
Chapter 1 has the theme “Under the majestic flag, the flying golden star” expressing the desire for independence, inspired by the original name of the programme which has become a brand through many times of organisation.
“Independence” is the right, the basic value that the Vietnamese people have fought for, preserved and protected for thousands of years.
Within the framework of the programme, the Organising Committee respectfully presented fresh bouquets of flowers and meaningful gifts to express gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, wounded and sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution.
