Training course on enhancing the leadership capacity of women held in Quang Ninh

A training course to enhance the leadership capacity of female officials and managers from ministries, sectors and localities, was held in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province on September 28 and 29.

The event, hosted by the Ministry of Home Affairs, attracted the participation of nearly 200 learners, who are key female leaders from 22 centrally-run cities and provinces, and localities in the northern region.

During the course, the participants exchanged views and learned experiences on three major topics, including women and gender equality in the fourth Industrial Revolution; fake news, public trust, and the role of policy communication; and leadership and innovation.

In his opening speech, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Trieu Van Cuong said, that the training course is among the ministry’s activities to implement the Prime Minister-approved programme, on enhancing equal participation of women in leadership and management positions, in different policy-making levels, for the 2021-2030 period.

The course aimed to improve the leadership and management capacity and skills of female officials, in the context when that Vietnam is accelerating industrialisation, modernisation and international integration, thus ensuring the equal participation of women in all areas of social life.
