Of the total, the number of visitors arriving by air was estimated at 523,000, accounting for 87% while those arriving by road and by sea counted 78,000 and 124, respectively.

In June alone, the number of foreigners to Vietnam reached more than 236,000, up 36.8% against May and 32.9 times higher against the same period of 2021.

The rise is attributed to Vietnam’s full tourism reopening and the resumption of international regular flights.

Vietnam is now entering summer - the peak season for domestic tourism. According to statistics from tour operators and hotels, many tourist destinations in Vietnam welcomed higher numbers of visitors than 2019.
