Truc Bach Night takes visitors back to pre-Doi Moi period

A night tourism programme entitled “Truc Bach Night”, to be held over the weekend, will give visitors the experience of Hanoi in the past during the pre-Doi Moi period.

Taking place from November 29 to December 1, the pedestrian street of Truc Bach in Ba Dinh District will become a space of culture, arts and other experiences.

They include visiting several places of interest around the area and participating in an experience workshop with the theme of ration stamps and display booths with pre-Doi Moi items.

A highlight of the programme is the re-creation of Hanoi’s tram with four carriages, each displaying a specific food topic of Hanoi and Vietnam.

The carriages will become a mini-museum, allowing visitors to learn about the history and culture of Hanoi in the past.

In addition, there will be a re-enactment of a wedding in the pre-Doi Moi period, as well as music and arts programmes for the community.
