Running from October 8 to 10, the event spans approximately 10,000 square metres and brings together regulatory authorities, operators, and domestic and international businesses to facilitate experience-sharing, connect technologies, and promote cooperation in the railway sector.

At the exhibition, Ha Noi Metro joined Viet Nam Railway Transport Joint Stock Company (TRV), ETEK Automation Solutions Joint Stock Company (ETEK), and Thang Long Software Joint Stock Company (TLS) to showcase technology solutions for urban railway operations at a 108-square-metre booth.

The products and solutions on display focus on automated fare collection (AFC) systems, ticket gates, platform screen doors, security equipment, signalling and communications systems, and automation solutions for railway operations.

One of the highlights of the exhibition stand is the automated fare collection (AFC) system, which Ha Noi Metro and TLS have jointly developed and upgraded to feature an open architecture, supporting various electronic ticketing methods and cashless payments.

Passengers can use QR codes generated by the Ha Noi Metro app, citizen identity cards, the VNeID electronic identification application, EMV-compliant bank cards, QR ticket stickers, or NFC cards to pass through ticket gates.

The system also integrates multiple payment methods, including international bank cards and selected e-wallets, expanding passenger options across urban railway services.

The digitalisation of the fare collection system serves as a key measure to improve service quality and gradually build a more convenient public transport network, in line with the trend towards digital transformation.

Alongside the modernisation of its AFC system, Ha Noi Metro is seeking to strengthen connections between urban railways, the public passenger transport network, and other mobility services.

The solutions showcased at the exhibition reflect the growing trend of applying digital technologies, automation, and smart equipment in urban railway investment, management, and operations.

The event provides Ha Noi Metro with further opportunities to exchange experiences with domestic and international operators and technology companies, while exploring solutions that could be applied to real-world operations.
