Veteran Party members in Da Nang presented 80-year Party membership badges

Politburo member and Permanent member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee Tran Cam Tu on May 19 presented 80-year Party membership badges to veteran Party members in Da Nang, marking the 136th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh.

The ceremony was organised by the Da Nang Party Committee and attended by senior Party officials, local leaders and families of long-serving Party members.

Politburo member Tran Cam Tu presented the prestigious badges to Nguyen Thi Kha, born in 1930, at her home in An Hai Ward, and to Bui Thi Lieu, born in 1926, and Tran Thanh Dan, born in 1927, during a ceremony at Da Nang City Party Committee Hall.

Speaking at the event, Tran Cam Tu extended congratulations and warm wishes to the veteran members and their families, praising their lifelong dedication to the revolutionary cause and contributions to the Party and nation.

He said the Party, State and people deeply valued the commitment and sacrifices of generations of Party members, whose efforts had helped strengthen the political system and support national development.

The senior official also expressed hope that the veteran members would continue to serve as moral examples and sources of encouragement for younger generations of Party members and local communities.

The awarding of Party badges on President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday has long carried symbolic significance in Viet Nam. The distinction recognises veteran members’ loyalty to the Party, the nation and the revolutionary ideals established by President Ho Chi Minh.

Da Nang authorities described the ceremony as an opportunity to honour earlier generations of Party members while encouraging younger cadres to follow their example of dedication, discipline and public service.
