General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission’s Standing Board, and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Viet Nam People’s Army, attended the event and motivated the participating teams.

The event marked a special milestone in the more than decade-long journey of the Viet Nam Coast Guard in collaborating with schools to cultivate the “seeds” of love for the country’s seas and islands among the younger generation.

Six outstanding teams representing the provinces and cities of Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ngai, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, and Ca Mau competed in the national final. Each team comprised five students.

They were outstanding contestants who had advanced through the regional rounds to reach the highest stage of the 2025–2026 “I Love My Homeland’s Seas and Islands” competition.

The national final not only tested the contestants’ knowledge but also challenged their composure. As the competition progressed, the pressure mounted as all the teams demonstrated thorough preparation and strong determination. Dramatic changes in the scores rendered the contest increasingly engaging and tense, with every question proving decisive.

From confident answers to emotionally engaging presentations, the contestants exhibited remarkable maturity. Knowledge about the seas and islands was no longer simply a collection of dry figures and facts, but was expressed through their love, pride, and desire to contribute to their homeland and country.

The national final may have come to an end, but the journey of these “ocean seeds” will endure. The knowledge, experiences, and affection nurtured through the competition will serve as a foundation for the students as they continue to learn about, cherish, and help spread love for Viet Nam’s seas and islands.
