The campaign will be vigorously implemented throughout the third quarter of 2026.
The campaign seeks to further invigorate the tradition of solidarity and mutual support by mobilising social resources to provide practical assistance and encouragement to officials, service personnel, and residents working and living in the country's border, coastal, and island areas. It also strives to fortify public solidarity and contribute to safeguarding the nation's sacred sovereignty.
That morning, the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Ho Chi Minh City urged each official, civil servant, and employee to contribute at least one day's salary to the “For the Homeland's Seas and Islands – For the Nation's Frontline” Fund during the monthly flag-raising ceremony held at the committee's headquarters.
Addressing the ceremony, Pham Minh Tuan, Vice President of the VFF Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasised that over many years the city's Party organisation, authorities, VFF Committee, and people from all walks of life had consistently organised a wide range of practical activities in support of the nation's border, coastal, and island areas, demonstrating their solidarity with officials, service personnel, and residents living and working there.
In that spirit, he urged all officials, civil servants, and employees of the city VFF Committee, as well as organisations, businesses, individuals, and members of the public, to contribute at least one day's salary to the fund.
Established in 2009, the “For the Homeland's Seas and Islands – For the Nation's Frontline” Fund has mobilised contributions from government agencies, organisations, businesses, and members of the public. The fund has instrumentally elevated the living conditions of officials, service personnel, and residents in border and island areas while fortifying public solidarity in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty.
