On September 19, 1964, Kim Boi was honoured and proud to welcome President Ho Chi Minh, who visited and worked with the Kim Boi District’s Party Committee. He kindly reminded locals about improving living conditions, adopting better farming practices, and increasing production efficiency to achieve higher results.

Kim Boi District was established under the Prime Minister’s Decree No. 153 issued on April 17, 1959, initially consisting of 22 communes. By December 17, 2019, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 830, officially designating Kim Boi District to include 1 town and 27 communes.

Kim Boi is one of the cradles of the Hoa Binh Culture, historically known as Muong Dong — one of the four renowned Muong regions of the province (Muong Bi, Muong Vang, Muong Thang, and Muong Dong).

These investments will provide the district with significant advantages for a breakthrough in economic and social development, while also creating challenges in terms of environmental protection and cultural preservation.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan urged the Party committees and authorities at all levels and ethnic communities in Kim Boi District to uphold the revolutionary tradition and achievements, focusing on several key tasks including continuously studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, while linking these efforts with Party building and strengthening the political system cleaner and stronger.

Furthermore, it is crucial to preserve and promote the district's cultural and ethnic identity, especially Muong Culture, to create a distinctive and unique image of Kim Boi.
