The Vice President emphasised that the Party has identified culture as the spiritual foundation of society along with being an important driving force for the development of the country.

A holistic development of culture in harmony with economic growth and social progress is a fundamental direction of the process of building socialism in Vietnam, she reiterated.

She asked the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre to work harder to improve the quality of its products and services and to advertise the images and values of Hue’s cultural heritages to domestic and international visitors.

Attention should also be paid to enhancing human resource training, raising the responsibility and awareness of safeguarding and upholding Hue’s heritages among the public, especially the younger generation, she added.

She also called on the centre to promote international cooperation and application of information technology in its operation.
