Vice President hosts ethnic delegation from Ha Giang Province

Speaking at the event, Xuan praised the achievements recorded by the Party organisation, government and people of Ha Giang as well as the ethnic community’s effective contributions to the province’s development.

Noting that Ha Giang is one of the provinces facing the greatest difficulty in the country, she asked the province to promote the strength of the national solidarity bloc and encourage residents to overcome difficulties to make the province wealthier.

She called attention to reducing poverty, ensuring social security, protecting traditional cultural values and providing healthcare for local residents as ways to improve their standard of living.

At the meeting, Ha Giang Standing Vice Chairman Hoang Gia Long briefed the State leader on the province’s socio-economic development in recent years, emphasising that the poverty rate among the ethnic community has dropped by 6%.
