Vice President presents gifts to child patients at National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan on September 12 visited and presented gifts to 200 children undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

During her visit to the pediatric haematology department at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan offered words of encouragement and inquired about the circumstances of the children.

She expressed her hope that the children would continue to be strong to recover and return to their normal lives, go back to school, and achieve their dreams.

Additionally, the Vice President congratulated and acknowledged the results and achievements of the Institute, while praising the dedication and efforts of the medical staff in treating patients.

She asked the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to continue to uphold its 40-year tradition, especially its contributions to the voluntary blood donation movement.

The Vice President asked the hospital's medical staff to continue to uphold the hospital's fine traditions, capabilities, and medical ethics to fulfil their duties effectively, especially during challenging times like the current floods.

The hospital’s doctors and officials were also required to develop more new research and strategic activities to advance Vietnam's medical achievements on both a regional and global scale, with a particular focus on further improving public health care.
