Gifts presented to revolutionary contributors in Quang Tri’s Vinh Linh District

Thousands of gifts worth over 1 billion VND (nearly 40,000 USD) were presented to families with contributions to the revolution and families in difficult circumstances in Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province, within the framework of an art programme titled “The 17th Parallel – Aspiration for Peace” on August 16.

Nhan Dan Newspaper coordinated with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to grant 500 million VND to revolutionary contributors in Vinh Linh District. Pha Le Group also presented 300 million VND to the army and people on Con Co Island in Quang Tri Province.

In addition, Nhan Dan Newspaper in partnership with the Thien Tam Fund of Vingroup presented 500 gifts, with a total value of 500 million VND, to policy beneficiary families in difficult circumstances in Vinh Linh District. Vietnam Investment Review and Health System 315 also granted 200 scholarships worth 1 million VND each to needy students in the province.

Nhan Dan Television, in coordination with Thien Tam Fund and Quang Tri Youth Club in Hanoi, gave 200 bicycles to students in three mountainous communes of Vinh Linh District.

“The 17th Parallel – Aspiration for Peace” was a special political art programme organised by Nhan Dan Newspaper and Quang Tri Province. The event aimed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh (August 25, 1954 - August 25, 2024) as well as to review the years of division between the North and the South Vietnam, and show gratitude to revolutionary contributors.
